s2 (a) All living Things Reproduce
Reproduction: Another characteristic of organisms is the ability to reproduce, or produce offspring that are similar to the parents. Robins lay eggs that develop into young robins that closely resemble their parents. Apples produce seeds that develop into apple trees, which in turn make more seeds. The mildew on your bathroom tiles will produce more mildew if you do not clean it off!
All organism reproduce through either sexual or asexual reproduction. Single celled organisms like bacteria reproduce asexually. Asexual reproduction involves only one parent and produces offspring that are identical to the parent. Sexual reproduction involves two parents who combine their genetic material to produce a new organism, which differs from both parents.
